Worth Nothing, We Must Create the Worthiness

You Are the "Enlivening Flavor-Base" of the "Bare, Tasteless Media"

Salt

(I want to thank Rev. Hagee for the sermon that inspired this:)

Jesus said, "... But if salt loses its flavor, it is cast beyond the gates outside and trampled underfoot."

Salty salt may seem a basic substance, but it is also one of the strongest substances: when originally developing the laser beam, salt was found to be able to withstand the heat that not even two square feet of steel could withstand!

Strong Enough to Be Worth Working-for

Salt and salary come from the same root; workers in Rome would receive salt as their days' pay. That's why--if someone earns more than someone else thinks they're worth--that someone else thinks the first is "not worth 'their salt'" ... oh, there's the understanding that 'our base matter is a form of "salt,"' but that understanding was reached after the molecular science confirmed it (which was definitely after Roman workers proved themselves worth/not-worth 'their salt').

Sharing salt (or 'breaking bread') with others is one of the deepest contracts known to man; it's not saying, "Party A is going to do such-&-such for Party B," but it has been understood as a way of saying, "Party A and Party B are bretheren, together in pursuit of the same goal."

And Lo! Your Contract Is Renewed

Salt is almost as valuable as blood, and 'covenants' (the bases of every steady system) were forged in either/both.

That is the connection between the-Body-&-the-Blood and the-Bread-&-the-Wine—-the Salt Intermingled. When you take Holy Communion, you are renewing a covenant with the brothers-and-sisters beside you—the Covenant stating all your sins forgiven as you forgive the sins of others.

Contributor's Note

Some comments, with my responses:
"Interesting and intriguing information but could be organized better."

You're right, if I were instructing you in 'the right buttons to push.'

"So when do you think you'll make it to the 21st century?..."

I don't know, maybe you kids hold to some belief that "The Infinite Intelligence" became a Google-algorhythm. I believe something more-biological happened along the word-to-'something' pattern, but you believe what You gotta.

"Perhaps some psychiatric help is needed?"

That's a nice 'big word' you useded, "psychiatric." Now what it has to do with 'blood' and 'salt' is somewhere beyond human understanding.
